Foodie Friday: Chicken Pot Pie

Who doesn't like Chicken Pot Pie? I like this recipe cause it is a twist on the traditional chicken pot pie cooking in a pie crust.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups cooked chicken chunks
1 cup chicken broth
3 TBL butter
2 potatoes, skinned and cut
1 c sliced carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup half and half
1 pkg cresent rolls
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp thyme

Directions:
Saute vegetables until onion is tender. Sprinkle with flour, stir well. Add broth and half and half, stir, add chicken thyme and salt. Stir until thickened. Pour into a 9x13 pan. Unroll crescent rools and pinch dough together in the middle. Place on chicken mixture. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden. This can also be baked in a pie shell if desired.
